TROY KIM
French Horn
Troy Kim is a rising senior at Norcross High School and lives in the Peachtree Corners area. He has been playing horn for about 7 years and has participated in various ensembles. Troy has been a member of 6 District Honor Bands, 4 All State ensembles (3 bands, 1 full orchestra), the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra of Atlanta, and the Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony. Additionally, he has participated in the Music for All National Festival twice. Troy was also selected as a finalist for Georgia’s Governor’s Honor Program for brass studies. Troy has also premiered various wind ensemble pieces and has had the privilege to perform alongside professional trombonists Brian Hecht, trombonist of the Atlanta Symphony and Joseph Alessi, principal trombonist of the New York Philharmonic. Outside of music, Troy likes to play a lot of video games and hang out with friends. He also has an unhealthy obsession with boba.
