ALICE ZHANG

Piano

Alice Zhang is a 17-year-old pianist from Suwanee, Georgia. She has been playing the piano since the age of five and is currently a student of Lois Finlay. She has received prizes in numerous solo and concerto competitions, including the AMTA Romantic-Impressionistic Competition, GMTA State Piano Auditions, DeKalb Symphony Concerto Competition, and Kennesaw State University (KSU) Young Artists' Competition. She has also competed internationally and was a finalist in the 2020 Ronald Sachs International Music Competition, as well as a 3rd prize winner in the International Grande Music Competition. Alice has appeared as a soloist with the DeKalb Symphony Orchestra, the Schwob Philharmonic at Columbus State University, and the KSU Symphony Orchestra.

Eager to further pursue her musical studies, Alice has attended the Indiana University Piano Academy for four summers. She has participated in piano master classes with world-renowned pianists, including Nikolai Lugansky, Edward Auer, and Henry Kramer. Outside of playing the piano, Alice is also a devoted violinist. She has been a member of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, GMEA All-State Orchestras, and the Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra. She also enjoys playing chamber music as part of a string quartet. Alice recently graduated a year early from Lambert High School and hopes to study piano performance in college.
